I was wondering if drinking beer will have an effect on taking creatine.

Absolutely...the answer is rather obvious. Any alcoholic beverage tends to dehydrate you, whereas creatine wants to absorb water and shuttle it to your muscles.

not to mention beer is empty calories, there is nothing in beer you need, more than likly it will get converted strait to fat, and I also hear it raises estrogen levels in men

Beer, booze and training aren't the best combos.

That sucks, especially for us Canadians. I enjoy a cold beer once in a while. Isn't a little alcohol good for you? A glass of wine a day or something like that?

A beer won't hurt you on your off days. I think many thought you were talking of drinking more. One note besides it being a diruetic, alcohol is 7 calories per gram, and empty calories at that, that also have a negative effect on testosterone and other things that I will leave for now. So, if you are serious about your training, don't overdo it with the beer.

If beer raises estrogen levels, then my father should have DD breasts by now.

Excessive alcohol can be a contributing factor to gyno.

Beer does turn men into women though!

When men drink too much it is a proven fact they:

Gained Weight
Talked excessively without making sense
Became overly emotional
Couldn't drive
Failed to think rationally
Argued over nothing
Had to sit down while urinating
Showed no interest in sex
Refused to apologize when wrong

- Its never about how much you can lift, or how many reps you do. Its just about doing it, and doing it right.
- If your hungry all the time, your not eating enough. And anyways, being hungry sucks.

I was wondering about this myself, cause I too like to have a cold frosty beverage once in awhile.
