Abdominal exercises? I realize if you dont lose all the fat around the midsection it will only push it out further by doing so. I still have some fat on my sides (love handles) but I have trimmed down and probably can pinch like a 1/2inch-1inch of fat from my stomach (a little bit above of my belly button) Would now be a suitable time to add them in or should I wait until I lose some more around the sides? Also does the 12 week ab program work?

golden gloves always from day one do your trunk excersises. you need strong abs and back to support the rest of the movements. And I have been doing the 12 week ab I have way to much body fat to see them but i am getting stronger in the midsection.

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it is gone past me I will turn to see fear's path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain

mmaibohm-How many times should I be doing it? Is once a week enough? Also By doing so will it help get rid of the extra fat? I've been doing 15 minutes of HIIT cardio on a bike for 2 days a week....

MM said it, you've got to have strong core muscles! Your abs and back stabilize your entire body. Once a week is fine, just like any other muscle. Working your abs won't get rid of fat, the cardio will. 30 minutes a week of cardio isn't much, though, even if it's HIIT.

jessica-I dont want to do to much cardio to hurt my weight training and not make any gains while doing so. What would be an good amount of time per session?
