i've been working out (weight training, cardio) 3-4 times a week for about a year now and have definitely seen results. i have some stubborn "handles" that won't go away no matter what i do. not bad but enough to pinch. i've been running 4 times a week, 45 mins at a time. along with crunches, shouldn't i start seeing those "handles" disappear soon? getting a little frustrated, i want to achieve the "V" cut ...

How is your diet? From every response I have ever read here on FT, it has focused on diet. The cardio and ab workouts will definetly help, but you will have to eat a clean diet to get the maximum results you are looking for. If you have some body fat on your abs and dont have a clean diet you are just building muscles under that fat, which can sometimes make your stomach look fatter than it actually is. Good Luck on reaching your "V" Cut.

thanks for the reply. my diet isn't bad, i stay away from excessive sugars and fat. i try not to eat after 8 pm the latest, no fast food, etc. however, i don't follow a set diet or count calories. maybe that would help monitor progress better and see results faster.

You have to create a caloric deficit. In order to do that you have to set your diet and count your calories. bb1 has posted on caloric deficits many times. Search fit buddy for this topic. It will help you greatly. Good Luck.
