im 5'7" and about 205, i just started working out again about 12 weeks ago after a 2 year break which added about 65 lbs. on me. i work out about 4 days a week and last week i started to do 30 minutes of cardio 3 or 4 days a week. im eating about 240 - 250 grams of protein a day and 20 - 30 grams of carbs and about 2300 to 2500 calories a day. i eat 6 meals a day 3 are protein drinks. i also take a multi-vitamin and amino acids. i do the high protein and low carbs because it the only way i can afford to eat that much protien. sence i have started working out again i have had some good gains in strength and size . i went from benching 115 to 185 and i did lose 8 lbs. i really need to lose alot of weight and i would like to lose it a little faster and i dont want to take diet pills because when i take them its harder for me to get str. gains. i guess my question would be how many calories should i be eating to grow and to lose some fat a little bit faster or any advise on what i could do to help the process. please feel free to Email me at mosspoint147@yahoo.com thank you in advance
You may have reached a plateau. You can do 3 things to get you losing weight again: consume less calories, increase your daily activity level or both. Our bodies adapt very quickly so you need to continually change things, whether that be your diet or workout routine. Stay motivated and you'll reach your goal.
