I was at the bookstore yesterday and was going thru the muscle magazines just to see what`s new. I used to read muscle media but after it just became pure EAS advertisement
Two things I`ve noticed:
1. new issue of FLEX - Ronnie Coleman looks awful, I don`t know it might be just a bad picture. Oh well, never been fan of todays bodybuilding
2.I`ve noticed that before that`s why I don`t spend my money on those magazines anymore. But every issue reveals the new workout routine. For example in one of the magzines, they had “incredible chest” routine. I said to myself WOW!!!! I flipped the page and what I see chest presses and flies (incline flat decline). Got a bit disappointed since I`ve doing them all along, nothing different/new. So picked up another magazine that includes a routine for a "bigger chest just in 4 weeks" – again bench presses and flies.
Now I remember why stopped buying them.

You must always remember that these magazines are all sales rags. Put out by one company or another pushing mostly junk products and showcasing over inflated roid users aka Ronnie Coleman and the boys. Sorry but its true. The routines and splits are unrealistic for you and I due to the fact these guys spend many hours daily in the gym and use synthetic drugs to recover from these huge sessions. Stick to this board and guys like bb1 who know what time it is. Sound workouts and diet equal success

I vist this site from time to time and find it very informative. Especially, from guys like you mention bb1 and others (sorry forgot your nicks)

You're right these muscle mags are nothing but "advertorials"(sp)However, I must admit I do subscribe to Muscle & Fitness. After sifting through the adds you sometimes come across an interesting article or two.

Oh, I hate to say it, I'm a magazine-a-holic. Not that I follow anything in them, it's just that I love to read and have the attention span of a gnat. I subscribe to like 15 mags. Some fitness ones, some hockey ones, some news ones, some chick-crap ones, some home ones. I just like to read. :-)

....well I like to read, too, about anything but the most about bodybuilding but like mikecan said there might be 2 good articles in the whole magaizne, it`s just not worth 7-8 bucks.
