Ok Im trying to shed the fat in my abdomen area Im weight training 5 days a week and I know to build muscle you shouldnt do much cardio but if I do about 10 minutes on my 2 weight training days off on a exercise bike would that be enough to shed the extra fat? Or would it be doing nothing because of my lifting diet? Also I use to be a huge red meat eater (cooked on the foreman grill) which shed some fat. But I have found a new love for seafood since working at my new job. I usually take a little shrimp platter each day to work (about 25 piece of shrimp) Is that a good meal to eat for dinner? I know it has tons of protein 20 grams for ever 3 shrimp. When im not eating seafood I usually pick up a ham and cheese sandwich consisting of wheat bread lettuce ham and swiss cheese. For breakfast I usually have a bowl of cereal for post workout and protein shake after. Anyone wish to shed some thoughts?

The guys in the know here all say that the abdominal battle is done in the kitchen.
I am not a pro on foods, but have read, heard etc that you should be fine with meat, chicken fish etc, just make sure it's lean and the quantity you consume is within your coaloric requirements for the day.
From my experience I'd say dodge excessive shrimp as it can be quite fattening, however by all means go huge on other fish such as line fish of the day. Also kick the white bread habit, complex carbs really not very good in weight loss.
lastly go check out the dietry section of this site, great info.
Go for it.

Ah, shrimp I love em, however, they are fairly high in cholesterol. A good rule to follow is-all things in moderation. You should also limit processed meats. Personally, I would go low fat or no fat on dairy products. Also, most breakfast cereals are loaded with SUGAR-a definate no-no.

So what fish is good? Also I cant eat sandwiches anymore? Well the only cereal I usually eat is raisan bran you know the kind people always have in their house for other people to eat. Im not to high on the sugary cereals anyway.

Guys, per the FT chart shrimp has 1 gram of fat in a 3.5 oz serving. It is also a cholesterol lowering food. In another life me and Forrest Gump were cousins.

Shrimp is gooooooooood, healthy , low fat . Don't fry it. You can boil it, or cook it any way you want as long as the process is low fat. My idiot brother eats it right out of the net.

When I am at home I usually bake it in the oven. But when im at work I usually buy the platter that is already pre cooked and eat it cold w/ cocktail sauce.

I was going by the guidelines set by the American Heart Association-Boiled shrimp (3 oz.) Total Fat-.9 gr., Sat. Fat-.2gr, Chol.-166mg, Sodium-190mg, Calories-84. If they lower cholesterol my grocery bill just went up.
