Hi everyone. I am new to this site for the most part. I read everyones post's all of the time. I love all of the input!!! Anyway, I thought it would be neat to start a thread where everyone puts their favorite nutritional (easy) snacks or meals out there for everyone to see. I know I like to get all of your ideas because eating healthy all of the time can get very boring!!! I will list a few of mine. Not all of my favorite snacks are exactly totally healthy...just low calorie..and some are healthier than others. Here they are:

Scrambled oysters and eggs: get one can of those smoked oysters packed in WATER...Not oil....the smoked ones are best..they come in the small flat rectangular cans by the tuna fish and sardines in grocery store. spray pan with nonfat cooking spray...add fresh minced garlic and oysters with juice until warm....then add 6 eggs (only 2 yokes) and salt, pepper, and a little bit of shredded cheddar cheese..just to taste... scramble together and serve with toast or..... put this filling in a steamed flour tortilla shell and you have a great breakfast burrito!!

scrambled eggs w/picante: scramble 4 egg whites with salt and pepper. add 3 tablespoons pace picante to the eggs. toast two pieces of bread (very well done). spoon egg mixture over toast and eat ....really good and simple!!

beans on popcorn cakes: spoon warmed refried beans on top of quaker white cheddar popcorn (or rice??) cakes. drizzle hotsauce on top....yummy and crunchy!!

banana shake: put 5 ice cubes, one banana, 3 tsp splenda, 1 tsp. vanilla, and 1/2 cup 1 percent milk in blender. add protien powder if you like. blend together for a great banana shake!!!

I love those baked doritos too!! They are not high in fat like most chips..I know they arn't the most nutritional thing out there, but if you want to snack on some chips...these are great!!! I like them better than the regular ones. the nacho cheese are the best.

I also like to mix a can of tuna fish with pace picante and mustard.....scoop it up with wheat thins and eat.... oh and a sweet pickle on the side!!!

I will post more if I think of it.....

thanks to everyone who contributes to these message boards!!! I love reading all of your posts!!
