Hey all!

My football coach and coaching staff over the last 3 years of my life have been stressing working the same muscle groups 2x a week, 1 heavy and 1 light day. What is the difference between that, and what I am doing now. I like 1 muscle group heavy, 1 time per week. Can I get some advantages or disadvantages?

One of the Golden Rules of Weightlifting....There's no Best Program...for change is the best....your coaches method is a good approach..it may not be the best, it may not be the worst...the best workout is an everchanging one where the lifter is always trying to increase his total poundage lifted...if your coach keeps the same program from the beginning of your freshman year to your senior year a change is in order and i would be guessing you won't be winning many state championships unless you are a 1A or 2A school district...
