I have always heard that having two or three workouts, and doing them a few times a week is good, but the program from this site has me doing groups once a week, with the exception of calves. Is this going to be effective? Should I instead generate a 3 day program and double it?
The programs on here have gotten excellent reviews from a lot of people. It sounds like you were doing a total body workout several times a week. Working out each major muscle group once a week is fine. Remember all muscle groups get worked as secondary muscles during other workouts too. Doubling or tripling your workouts would be overtraining and self-defeating.
