As stated in the subject I'm 19, 6'2" and 220lbs (mind you thats not muscle - its all flab). I've gained over 20lbs in the last say 3 months thanks to playing video games on the computer and drinking sodas night and day. I used to workout everyday so I know the muscle is there, somewhere but it really needs to come out. I plan on joining the marines in january and I really want these last few months to get into shape before I go off onto bootcamp.
Since this site is named "free trainers" I figured I could ask someone to train me via online :)
You can set up a training program though the ones offered here. The people on this message board mainly provide information and support. We range from beginners taking baby-steps forward to serious competitors. Congratulations on deciding to make some positive life changes. You can get everything you need to get started here. congrats on your decisions to get healthy and to serve your country! You mentioned 2 things right off that you obviously know you need to change. Sodas and being sedentary too much. A soda a day will add 15# a year. so cut those out and you are on the right path. Bootcamp will bust your butt so you are right in wanting to get a jumpstart. do what effalunt said and check out the programs and nutrition planner on this site. The keep reading the posts for lots of great usable info.
