As with many things, conflicting reports on as to when is the best time to workout. I Have read over and over in fitness mags and all that the Am, before eating is best b/c you will burn food stores.
But, I have heard also that you can get the same benefits doing three 20 minute workouts as you do from 1 one hour workout. I am not sure I can buy into this. I would think that it is all about getting the heart rate up and sustaining it after reaching Target/Max HR rather than having to work back up tot level, just to drop off again.. Or, is it the getting HR up and then drop and then up again that works it? I am confused on this. I keep seeling myself on both.. Which is right???!!!

Really, the best time to work out is whenever you can. Most of us don't have schedules that we can arrange around our workouts. It is usually something we have to squeeze in wherever we can. When I first started I would go to the gym on my way to work. My husband works nights and he would be stopping at the gym on his way home from work. This year we switched it around to afternoon, so now I am on my way home and he is on his way to work. We both like it better this way and seem to do better at the gym. I just wasn't awake enough to concentrate in the am, and he was too tired from being at the hospital for 12 hours. There are a lot of different opinions but, just doing it is what is important.
