Hello all, my name is Gene and i am a freshmen is High School. I am on the freshmen/JV football team and I was wondering how to boost my energy, get more muscle, and lose fat. Im currently 14 yrs old, 6'1, and 210 lb's. My friend is taking creatine pills and he is always pumped and ready for practice. I am on a diet but I need more than that. My coach told me to take vitamins, amino acids, and protein. I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on what to take. We have practice everyday except sunday, so I do get my exercise. Any help would be great!

Oooh, the memories of high scool football, how I miss them. First of all the big thing is to make sure your eating enough(at leat every 3 hours) & taking enough quality protein at each meal. The training should be more than adequate to take care of everything else. In additon to that most schools offer a strength training class as well so be sure to take advantage of that, just don't overdo it or it may affect your performance. As far as supplements I wouldn't mess with them at your age they wouldn't make a big difference & more than likely the affects with your friend is pyschological. Speeking of which in my opinion that is the key. Attacking each play or drill like it was the last one you'll ever do. Also soak up every bit of information taught by the coaches. With the right combination of skill & determination you'll be unstopable!

If he is taking creatine PILLS...soon he will realize their convinient PLACEABO effect...he thinks he's doing well because hes taking something, so he's creating more drive from within...the only form of creatine that is of the most us is the powder the other forms are a huge waste of time and money....you'd be better off just getting pumped on your own, find some music that gives you goosebumps and pump away buddy.

Do you eat a lot of fast food? If so, cut down on that and you will have the energy. In high school, I would also nap before practice so I can give it everything I have.
