Yesterday i did my arms and shoulders, and im wondering if its ok for me today to do chest. My arms/shoulders are kind of sore from my workout yesterday...(my shoulders morso) and i know when you bench you partially use your tri's. im wonding if people ever do their chest the day after they do tri's and if it will have any effect on my workout IE not being able to do as many reps lighter weight etc..

There is a rule of thumb in weight training ....never work the same muscle group two days in a row....

It is alaws best to either incorperate shoulders & tris into your chest workout or do them the next session. The reason for this is that the soulders & triceps are secondary movers to the shest & therefore with them being fatigued you will not adequately be able to train your chest. If you would like to list your training split & objectives I would be more than happy to help you sort it out to optimize your progress.

I honestly thought as much, so i ended up doing back last night. I thought that i wouldn't get the maximum benefit for my chest so im going to do it tomorrow. (took today off). Normally i try to stick with what ft has set up for me and go 5x aweek doing 1 group each day. but i had a hectic weekend and didn't wake up early monday like i usually do so i tried to get 2 groups in on monday night (arms and shoulders ) to make up for my busy weekend. So doing them on thursday should be ok right???

You know the old weightlifing saying; Pec and tri, Back and Bi... Thats what I go by anyways, and it works great for me. Though everyone is different.
