I have seen a few posts about this and how it "burns more than regular cardio", but can someone explain how? I don't udnerstand how going hard for 20 min would burn less than slowly speeding up and peaking for 1 minute.

i think it boosts up your metabolism more than just regular exercising by keeping your metabolism going at a higher rate post exercise. I believe that is why you burn more, if im wrong point me out on it.

What confuses me about it is that it seems like you'd be going from aerobic to anerobic, so you you would therefor be burning muscle instead of fat. I must be wrong if HIIT works though. Can anyone explain that?

Great literature research, ravenwolf. Research protocal data definetly supports the claim of greater fat burning with HIIT. I've been doing it now for over a month and i think its great.

Ravenwolf, how does the HIIT work for you? How did you get started with it? Thank!
