Hey guys. I've taken a fair bit of a break because of work and the like, and now I'm trying to get back into it. My problem is that when I do cardio, my throat tightens up and I get alot of phlegm. I don't have athsma, and this happens right at the start of my run. It begins after about 500-800 metres, and can make it difficult to even complete the first kilometer. I don't think I'll be able to do any significant amount of cardio if this keeps up, which is bad because I'm trying to get into shape for a military course I'm going on in a few weeks.
Any explanations or cures? I really need to find out why this happens.
Personally I can't think of any normal physiological reason for this to occur I would definately seek the advice of a medical professional as more than likely there is going to be some form of an underlying medical condition.
