Have been lifting for about 5 years, but have never heard of HITT cardio. I was a Speed Trainer for High School Football teams throught southern California, but never heard of it. I beleive its sprint training, but im not sure, would appreciate a little insight...thanks, you guys are awesome.

There's an article on HITT training here on the site. Go to "ft Community" at the top of the page, click "Related Articles," and then "Search the Library." I started a modified HITT program yesterday: 80 yard sprints at 50%, then 75%, then full sprint, and repeat. I lighty jogged the curves of the track after each sprint. Anyway, after 20 minutes of that, I felt like I was going to die. I love it...what a rush.

Thanks, mxakal, thats pretty much what I thought. That is the kind of training that we used to do with the kids for football. sprint till you puke...and then some. I do think it works better than the constant drudge of jogging, and it is quicker for those of us who are really busy.
Thanks again

SOMETHING THAT IS VERY INTERESTING ABOUT 'HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING' IS THAT BECAUSE OF THE RIGOURIS WORKOUT AND THE WAY IT EFFECTS YOUR BODY IS IT HAS BEEN PROOVEN YOUR BODY WILL STILL BE BURNING HIGH AMOUNTS OF CALORIES 3-4 DAYS AFTER YOUR INITIAL WORK OUT!!! SERIOUS! I READ THIS IN AN ARTICLE I FORGET WHICH MAG BUT ITS THE MAG HEADED BY EAS. (MUSCLE MAG I THINK)
