I workout 3-4 times per week with weights and I do cardio about 3 or 4 times a week as well. When I am working out I feel like I am pushing my body to the limit, but the next day my muscles are not sore at all. And sickly, I like to feel the pain the next day. Am I doing something wrong?

I envy you for not being sore!! I can barely walk today from the day before yesterday's squats! And the funny thing is, I've been doing squats with the same weights for about 2 months now and I still feel it. Like ravenwolf wrote, you must be the type who doesn't get sore. If you feel like you're giving it your all, then be happy you're one of the lucky ones! However, if you do feel pain, be careful because that's your body's way of saying you need a rest or time to regenerate.

Ksee128 I found the same thing happening to me a couple months back. I think that I was "mentally" holding myself back. I was limiting myself by knowing "when" I should be getting tired or maxed out.. and not if I actually was. Does that make sense? I had a mental block of sorts I guess. I upped my chest press by almost 50lbs overnight.. and I was still able to do the same reps! (ok that probably wasn't a great idea.. but I found I could do it) I also recently upped my leg press by xxxlbs.. not saying how much.. my comrades might yell at me because I should know better.

Check it out.. it might be happening to you too. Challenge yourself. Oh and by-the-way.. I've also noticed it takes longer for my soreness to kick in.. usually about 24 hours really.

I have the 24-36 hour soreness thing!! I "feel" my muscles after a workout but they do not start to be sore for a day or day and a half, by that time it is time to go do it all over again. I am really starting to feel my abs, but that is partly because my trainer has me doing exercises that are meant for someone with stomach muscles!! Just kidding, but he really made me work my abs last night!!! I am just starting to really feel them right now! I really don't feel any soreness in my arms or legs anymore, just more of a tiredness rather than pain.
