I'm in the middle of a 2 week exam period... My life is overrun with exams and revision and I simply do not have the time to go to the gym... would it be detremental to my progress to take 2 weeks off?

I've read many times where people have taken some time off and have been just fine and have actually gained from taking it.....just do what you capable of....

I don't think it would be detrimental at all - but another alternative would be working out at home. I worked out at home w/ dumbells for over a year before I joined a gym and I can't believe how much more time it takes working out at the gym! A half hour driving each way plus the time I've had to spend familiarizing myself w/ the gym and waiting for the dumbells or machines I need... etc etc etc... you can really get a lot done in a short amount of time w/ a few dumbells.

I would think that if you are stressed then time off might be appropriate. I know my workouts are less than great when I have a lot on my mind. Keep up your diet though. Don't get so busy that you forget to eat regularly. That'll make it easier to get back in the groove after your exams. Good luck, btw.
