I am planning to change my routine from a four day split to a 5 day that looks like this
Legs
Arms/calves
Shoulders/Traps/Abs
Back/Forearms
Chest/Abs
*then abs on one of my days off
I wasn't sure where would be best for my two days off, if anyone has any advice on where to put them, and if the order is ok, if not help there would be great to, thanks.
Did you want 2 days off together or individually. I lately have been taking the day off before legs, so that they are ready for the rather hard workout I am doing right now. I think you will be able to notice by the way you feel the day after each workout whether or not you might need a day off. For example, if my arms are screaming the next morning I know that I probably won't perform as well on anything that really uses arms, etc. I used to need the day off after legs, as I could hardly get out of bed. I'm sure you will get some more suggestions here. Good luck.
