Now when I say funny I MEAN funny! I don't think it's anything to be alarmed about (no pain) but every single time I do standing lat raises I get a funny tingling feeling in my groin. You know the kind you get when you climbed a pole as a kid... The problem is it bothers me and effects my strength and workout. What the hell causes this and how can I stop it! I literally get weak!
Any insight would be appreciated!

it's probably caused by contracting your lower abs-the ones that extend all the way down to your groin and through your pubic area. you might want to try strengthening them with leg raises or vertical crunches etc. it'll be tough to do since the feeling makes you weak. but as you make them stronger, it will take more weights and reps to get the same feeling
good luck

I was thinking it might have something to do with muscles contracting and probably is... But this only happens when I do standing lat raises... I have been doing plenty of other ab work and lifting which doesnt cause the feeling... I have searched the net and havent found any explination...Probably because I dont even know what it would be called.

it's funny how often those abs work...
ever wonder why the Dr. tells you to cough while holding your goods? b/c it doesn't take much to make the muscles move/contract. just breathing hard will do it.
i agree with you. i think it must be something to do with the lower abs. but if it really concerns you, see a doc
