I was wondering if anyone knew of some good ways to tone my legs. I used to horseback ride all the time (hunter/jumper), so i had pretty musculat legs. Now i dont ride much anymore that muscle seems to just be fat, and i'm not lookng forward to wearing shorts in the summer. I've only been working out in the gym for a month now, just really starting to get into this fitness stuff. I've had no problem toning my upper body, but I don't feel like I am making any progress in my legs/thighs which is where I really want to be toned. Any advice? I kickbox 3x week, and do nautilus 3x week. I hate running on the treadmill and doing the eliptical, but if thats what it will take i guess I will have to suck it up.

Unfortunately, you cannot spot reduce. However, if you are looking for some exercises to help you, try walking lunges and squats. These work the glutes, hams and thighs. You will probably have to do cardio...I would recommend HIIT.
Good luck!

I know the answer to what is HIIT, it is High Intensity Interval Training, you can search this site there is a bunch out there about it. Basically, it is doing whatever you do for cardio but alternating for a few minutes do it with "high intensity". Like I am just starting with the elliptical and am lucky to make it through 30 minutes, but I try to do several seconds faster then go back to regular. There is a lot more detail than this but it is good.
