I would like to start doing my weight work in the a.m. I am NOT one who can do weights on an empty stomach without messing up form due to the shakes and weakness. I also will not have 30 minutes to wait for something to digest so I can begin. What do you a.m. exercisers eat before you work out and how long do you wait after you eat?

I grap a protein shake and then I attack the weights..... (I sometimes even drink my shake in between the exercises).
Works for me!

Good advice, the major problem with eating then training is a full stomach draws blood to aid digestion reducing its flow to the muscles. So taking small intakes of food prior to and over the time you train will minimise this by never allowing your stomach to over fill.
Also as carbohydrates get digested the fastest and are required them for glycogen production (used for energy in weight training), first thing in the morning you will often be depleted in these. So make sure you include these maybe have a shake ready to grab as soon as you get out of bed to maximise the digestion time.

i have a slice of wheat toast with light cottage cheese and strawberry preserves. if you can get over the way it looks, it actually tastes like strawberry cream cheese with less fat and more protein per serving. since i start my HIIT run with about 2 blocks of walking, sometimes i eat this during that phase and it doesn't bother me at all. or sometimes i'll just take a protein bar on the way.
the shakes didn't work for me with running. it was just too much stuff in my stomach jumping around during my run. then again i drink water as i run too, so i guess there was just too much liquid in there.
