hello everyone:
yesterday while I was doing the sissy squats I experience severe pain in my left knee. I warmed up for 5 minutes before that and stretched for 3-4 minutes. I never experienced knee problems, but I am 29 now. Is it due to adult age? any alternative exercise to sissy squats that will be easier on my knees?

Thanks

I am going to assume by sissy squats you mean doing them on a smith machine if thats the case then make sure that when in the down position that your knees do not extend out forward past your toes if that doesn't work try taking a wider stance you might also want to consider taking some glucosamine if helps keep your joints "lubed" or healthy and functioning Good Luck

I was doing them standing up.. it is an exercise that is described on ft workout program... you go down to a full squat then you go up... it happened during that.. now my knee feels better. do you think I should use a machine instead?

thanks
