I have been 156lbs for too long

I have been trying to loose at least 20lbs but I can't.I can't really stay on a steady diet.I need help how can I loose weight Im a begginer in exercising well I do what I can,can someone help me loose these extra pounds that I have and how can I resist food?

You don't need to resist foods, you need to eat more healthy foods at regular intervals.
Start by filling out your profile and looking at some of the postings on this site about diet and food. There are lots of them to page through and pick up good tips from.
The next thing to do is to realize that in a world where you don't have much control over things the one thing you do have control over is what you put in your mouth.
Now, do some reading and get motivated and let me know if you have more specific info...
