When you do cardio (short for cardiovascular) you should be targeting your heart rate which will dictate how many calories you burn. There is a formula to know your max heart rate. You want to warm up and then go to about 85% of your max. Assuming you dont have High pb or other related problems. To figure your max heart rate subtract your age from 220. figure what 65% and 85% is and work yourself up to it. I don't know your fitness level so I can't really tell you more. But in the end you will see your burnt calories. Hope this helps.
