I would like to get some muscle in my arms and legs and start to shed off a few pounds, so i am just wondering if it is better to lift weights and then go on the treadmill, in the same day or should i rotate days (1 day weights and the second day treadmill)?
Thanks

it all depends on you, if your working out in the morning due cardio first then weights, if your working out in the afternoon then do weights first, when you work out in the morning you are burning stored fat...so dont eat workout 1st! thats what i do

cardio at 30 to 45 mins three times a week is fine.
weight train these same days if you like,,, if you can though pick at least one day that is weights only and one that is cardio only.
on these days hi protein on all weights days and keep your calories low on cardio days(watch ya protein though).
train legs 3 times a week. train arms once a week and really up the weight you use as much as you can each week for growth....
you will notice no change for months it may be dis-heartening, so measure everything, weight, bicep, waist, chest, leg etc... then check weekly. if the waist is getting bigger- eat less as you are putting on fat.
