i have never done any kind of excercises with the exception of p.e. in high school and have alot of questions...1. should i do all my sets together or 2. should i do them at different times of the day or 3. should i just rest in between for a few minutes and 4. is it better to do your sets at the same time evey day or does it matter

Hi,
. do all your sets together
. Rest time --> 30 sec to a minute - this might vary slightly with your proram
. if you mean training a single muscle, then do consecutive sets, but if your considering training ,for example, your back in the morning & your arms in the night then that this ok as well even though I believe having a complete ,1 hr or so, exercise session is more effecient

you can train any time you want, some people prefer training really early in the mourning when their metabolism is probably the highest, others train right after work post 4 pm, others might find a rapid 1/2 hr or so session during the lunch break the most effecient. You need to decide which time suites you noting that you'll need to devote the entire period of time your in the gym on your training. You don't have to train at the same time every day BTW, in fact as you will see, variation has an important role in the development of good fit body, so varying the time of the day when you train, say once every 3 weeks is good idea.
you should expect results really soon this is almost always the case, and when you do I bet you'll start feeling good about yourself.
