This is whats going on. After i complete my weightraining workout usually 45min-60min long. i get on a treadmill warm up with a brisk walk at about 3.5 miles per hr then move up to 4.0 mph then 4.5 about 9 minutes into it i get this sharp pain under my rib cage and i cant run anymore. Before i workout i usually eat a bowl of oatmeal with some splenda. Why is this happening to me its been going on for the past 7 days straight, everytime i raise the intensity the pain occurs, does anybody else get and could anyone assist. thank in advance.
Fred, I've had that happen on many occassions. I've pinpointed it to my breathing technique, try taking a longer warm up time with a lower mph. Also, are you stretching after your weight-training workout prior? These are things that I've found to allieviate the pain from occuring.
make sure you get water throughout your workout. don't eat for like 2 hours before a workout which was why it happened to me. also don't overload yourself. i usually go easy on lifting days and do more aerobics on rest days.
