What is the best food that I should it after my workout. I workout at around 11:30 a.m. and after that I eat my lunch. Should I go for a lunch that is more of protein or carbo?

Good point raven..

the best form of food is a protein shake following your workout.. preferrably within 30 minutes of finishing your workout. Your body will absorb the liquid faster than a solid food. Complex carbs are also needed.. replenishment is key. Then perhaps 1-2 hours later consume a solid meal.

Good Luck

Allright so, I had gone into the supplement store and the lady bombarded me with loads of information I didn't even really care about? So basically when it comes down to it, whats the best way to go when it comes to protein shakes the promote muscle gain?

That all depends. There are so many out there, so you will most likely get a million different answers as to what protein shakes are the best.. Here is my 2 cents.. Use some sort of whey protein that has extra glutamine put into the mixture. I use gnc mega whey .. When I dont use that, I use BCN protein shakes. they have some awesome flavors, such as banana nut bread.
