I started dieting at the end of July 2002,my starting weight was 237lbs I am 5ft.2inch tall. I have lost 44 lbs so far but it has really been going slow! I lost 5 lbs in Dec. & 4 lbs in January! I am doing arm weights and cardio work outs...... 2-3 times a week... (I know I need to up this) My diet consists of lowfat cuisines, smart ones, & meal replacement shakes......... I would like to lose 68 more lbs.......... I want to have definition! Any help would be greatly appreciated! My name is ~Deb~

Hi Deb, and welcome to the site. That is some accomplishment, you have shedded alot of fatty tissue and sounds like you ARE making good progressive gains. I am not sure what smart ones are but I would stay away from the cuisine stuff and anything else processed. Add more protien into your diet, and don't be scared of having good carbs, but not overdoing them. Try also to include your lower body into your weight routine. The lower body contains the largest muscles, that if you supply them with good nutrition and good resistance training, will inturn help you burn more calories. Keep up the good work.

Conratulations on your weight loss. i wouldn't be concerned that it is slow going. It is healthier for you to loose slowly anyway, there are many health risks associated with rapid weight loss.
