Just looking around I found the term Nagative Reps.

When I do my lifting currently I will usually do each machine like this: Military Press I will start with say 150lbs @ 10 reps
140lbs @ 10 reps
130lbs @ 10 reps
Is this ok and beneficial? Or would I be best to do them all at 150 and stop when I can't lift what ever rep I'm on?

Just curious?

If you are just getting back into shape and no big mass goals there is nothing wrong with what you are doing!
Keep up the good work and don't rush.
