I am 17 and only weigh 140lbs, i would like to increase my weight and broaden my shoulders and my arms i can't get to the gym anyone have any ideas what i can do?
You simply train at home then, this dose mean you need to get your own weights but you can do a lot of work with just a dumbbell set; its how I started out. Just make sure you get yourself a metal set (the weights with the plastic ones are so big you can never upgrade by fitting more weight on the bar) and spin lock collars (the other types are either awkward to change weight with or not secure). I started with a 20kg set (now costing about £25) when I needed more resistance I added an extra set of 4x5kg disks, most sets also come with an quick start guide of exercises included.
Upgrade to a bench and long bar when you can and do natural resistance eg, pull-ups and press-ups (which can be made harder by raising your feet level). And of course make sure you eat clean (healthy) food regularly with protein in ever meal.
