Hi I'm using the weight stripping method in my workout, starting with 45kg, then 41kg, then 36kg, then 28kg, then 20kg. I do each one with as little rest as possible (as long as it takes to take the weight off) and do each one until failure. I read on your site though, that if you go too low with weights, your body will adapt to tone it, and so you'll lose mass. Will this happen to me if i carry on with it? Thanks Peter

I believe that what you are talking about is actually in the mass building realm, so I wouldn't worry about it too much if I were you. And toning doesn't make you lose mass, it's just that during that period you are usually consuming fewer calories and using lighter weights in an effort to maintain muscle mass while losing fat.

Drop sets, since they fall into a high rep category are sort of in between mass and toning in my opinion. However, I find little use for them in a training regimen. I think the cost vs. rewards is unfavorable. Drop sets (or strip sets) fatigue your muscles significantly, but at very low levels since the weight is significantly less than what you're capable of. I think the energy expended would be better used on future regular work sets.
