A little background, worked out hard in my early 20s to near 30. Got married, got lazy, got fat and out of shape. January 2002 weighed in at 307, got scared, got mad, got help. Started a medically supervised weight loss program
(diet and exercise). November 2002 weight 220, at first I did all cardio. Then in September I started to mix in some resistance training, three or four times a week, with cardio on the off days, and sometimes cardio on the lift days. I do shoulders, back and biceps one day and legs chest and triceps on the next lifting day. I do three working sets of three or four exercises, for each body part with abs done every day. Is this to much to little? I know from what I read here I haven't been gtting enough protine and I'm going to correct that. Any other ideas or help?
WHAT A GREAT PLACE!!!!!

It sounds to me like you have a good foundation for your workout. the only thing i question is that you do 3 or 4 different lifts for each muscle group? Correct me if i read it wrong. But if it is 3 to 4 per muscle i would maybe consider taking that down a little bit. I would say do no more than 3 lifts for one muscle group in one workout session. I think 2 would be more ideal than that even. If u wanted to use multiple excersises for one muscle group i would consider doing a rotation each time you lift with that muscle group. Example - you are working you biceps and you want to include hammer curls, preacher curls, reverse curls, and seated curls. One workout i would do hammer and preacher. the next i would do reverse and seated. i hope this helped u and didn't just totally confuse you. Keep up the awesome work.

Well Joe I would like to congradulate you on a great success story. Keep up the good work and you are an example for all of us.
The Protein will be the best investment as far as the supplements go.
Don't be scared to get it from natural sources also. I think most of us on here overdose on chicken breast and cottage cheese! lol
