Hi, I am new to this site, but very happy to find this site. I use to workout at the gym 3-5 days a week, but with my schedule changing I want to purchase a treadmill. I was wondering what I should be looking for? such as montioring your heart rate. I will be running, walking and jogging on the treadmill as well as weight training and jumping rope.

If anybody knows what makes a treadmill better then another please reply. Because I see treadmills for $799.00 to 1,700 or more. I am not looking to spend a lot of money just get a good workout. I am looking to purchase the treadmill in the middle of October.

Thank you in advance.

Try SEARS; they have many diff models, best to just try them out in the store before you buy. We got one for about $600 4 yrs ago-no problems, we put an avg of 10-20 miles per week on it of hard running. I think its the pro space saver model?

If your looking to save money, you could also try the classifieds. People are always selling there stuff and you can get it cheap. I saw one in there once for like $150.
