one week to go!

Had a great, physically demanding weekend - went to a local Metro Park and walked the entire 8 mile circuit around the lake twice on Saturday. It was a training walk for the 3-day, and there were almost 100 of us there. I was so thrilled to get back to the campsite after my second lap and find I was only the 5th person there! I do think that besides maintaining my pace I need to incorporate a few stretching breaks when on the actual walk. I discovered a few new muscles that I think would not have been complaining so much had I given them a little attention during the exercise.

Sunday we went boating and jetskiing all day.. what a killer glute workout that is! I rode the waverunner behind the boat as we travelled several miles from one part of Lake St. Clair to another, at full throttle.. Still feeling that and it's Thursday now.

Monday was a complete rest day, Tuesday was a housecleaning day, husband has been sick with allergies lately so I moved furniture, scrubbed floors and walls and retired quite exhausted.

Kept the week rolling yesterday with a trip to the gym, worked out with a friend we took turns choosing chest and shoulder exercises and it was a really nice change from working out alone all the time. I belong to Bally's and she belongs to Gold's.. if Gold's runs another $99 special soon I may get dual memberships so that I can work out with her on a regular basis I enjoyed it alot.

What we did:

incline press 3 sets 12 x 17.5
upright rows 2 sets 12 x 50, 1 set 10 x 60
decline press (Smith) 2 sets 12 x 55, 1 set 10 x 65
flyes on resistaball 2 sets 15 x 10, 1 set 12 x 15
Hammerstrength decline
abs - crunch machine (80 lbs)
twisting leg raises
