Full Body
Wrapped up this eight week, full body routine...
Warmup - three minutes on the recumbent bike
Superset 1:
Bench Press: 10x65lbs/10x85lbs/10x115lbs
Smith Incline: 10x65lbs/10x85lbs/4x115lbs
- shoulda started lighter there... don't know what I was thinking...
Chins: 8/7/6
Superset 2:
Leg Press: 10x160lbs/10x230lbs/10x330lbs
Calf Raises on leg press: 30x50lbs/30x50lbs/30x50lbs
Bent Over DB Lats: 10x8lbs/10x10lbs/10x15lbs
Superset 3:
Standing EZ Bar 21's: 1x25lbs/1x30lbs/1x40lbs
Dips: 10x25lbs/10x25lbs/10x35lbs
Ball Crunches: 3x20
Overall, I felt the full body was pretty darn cool. I dunno why some people think they are only good for beginners. One gets a pretty good pump and some good cardio from it, I feel. Throw in the supersets and you're getting a heck of a work out.
Some of my numbers went up, others fluctuated and essentially stayed the same... Bench Press was sorta the same, but in the first week I didn't superset them... today I did, but with less weight.
Chins went up by a couple on each set. I also found it depends where you place them in your workout, much like any other exercise.
My Smith Incline went up by ten pounds when not supersetted.
Parallel Bar Dips went from 5/3/5 on the first day of ever trying these to 11/9/8.
Leg press went up as did some tricep and bicep things. And, I feel I improved my deadlift as well.
So, overall, I'd have to say the eight weeks went well!
I'll take some measurements this weekend and compare with some measurements well before I started the eight weeks.
I have noticed my weight hasn't changed, so maybe more muscle and less fat?
We'll see. ha...
