Wed.....early morning wt training

Well, I made it to the gym this morning. Got up at 6am and off I went. It's actually kind of a treat to go out early because it gets me out of getting the kids up and ready for school (:

Since I've been missing out on leg work I decided to focus on legs today with some other random stuff thrown in. Hopefully I can remember what i did. Yes I now have a log book, but I never seem to bring it into the gym even though it is sitting in my gym bag!

5min warm up on treadmill incline of 7-9 with lots of long steps to stretch hip flexors which are bugging me again.

3 sets walking lunges with bodybar. 1st set bar on shoulder/2nd set with twist each lunge/3rd set lift bar over head each lunge.

BB squats 10X45lbs(bar)/10X95lb/8X145/8X165/6X165 (these were tough since I haven't done them in a bit- I wasn't getting ATG with the 165)

SLDL's 12X45lbs(bar)/10X65lb/10X95lb/8X95lb (I like how these work my forearms as well)

Assisted pull ups 10X70/8X60/6X50/6X40/1.5X30 (wt would amount to 85lb/95/105/115--sounds more impressive that way!)

Roman chair leg lifts 15 straight/15 crunch/15 alt straight:crunch

decline bench leg lifts/decline crunches/decline obl crunches

Stretch to cool down.

I really worked hard today and it felt good to do my own routine again. On a bad note, my left shoulder tendinitis is acting up again. I think it was aggravated with gardening on the weekend when I was using one of those twisting soil turning thingies.

I'm playing golf in my husband tourny tomorrow (a day off from work woo-hoo!) I think we have carts though, so not much of a workout. It's a scramble round so should be lot's of laughs--and beer. We're supposed to have fencing tomorrow as well, but it's highly unlikely that we'll go. I'll get back to the gym on Friday to make up for my indulgences.
