Very proud of myself!
Yesterday was Grade 9 take your kid to work day...so kind of messed up my workout routine-but it was fun having my 14yr old at work-at least for me anyways. I thought about taking her to the gym, but my work had other plans. So, after a long day I got home and then kicked my butt back out the door and went to the gym. Now I really do not like going to the gym after 5pm because there are too many people there. So I decided to go into the Womens Only section. It worked out pretty good. It was really interesting to be back in the women's only gym because I found most of the weights they have too light. I cringed while seeing most of the women using bad form while lifting there teeny weights. I even had to retrofit some of the weights so I could get enough resistance! Made me feel very strong! But it was quieter up there and I sometimes use the "busy gym" as an excuse not to go, so now, no excuses. Maybe I can convince the gym to put a few heavier weights up there although I do miss "training with the big boys"
As far as my workout went I basically did a full body with squats, lunges, SL DLs, lat pulls, seated row, BO rows, ab work, leg press, db curls and lat raises-not in that order.
I'll be going for a run at lunch today (If work doesn't interfere) Will try and incorporate some sprints. It is an absolutely gorgeous day out there, supposed to hit 18C woohoo! It's supposed to be windy, so that'll make the run challenging!
