Two things have amazed me today

One: What people will have for a mid-day snack
Two: How much I was able to lift today.

One: I sauntered into work after the gym... all jazzed because I felt I did pretty good with the numbers today. One of our staff was busy consuming a Kit-Kat (must have needed the break! ha) a Coke and some other sorta bar. Can't remember what. Of course, I commented... dunno why... and I dunno why people continue to eat like that. I am convinced he is trying to become Homer Simpson.

Two: I felt as though I lifted more than I though I should be able to. I attribute it to the 5x5 I did for seven weeks. It looks as though the curls went WAY up! At least ten pounds.

Anyway.. here's how today shook out:

Start Time: 8:41am
Finish Time: 9:34am
HR: 128bpm

Warm up: Three minutes in eliptical at level four
Concentration Curl: 12lbsx10/15lbsx8/20lbsx6/25lbsx6
Close Grip Press: 50lbsx10/55lbsx8/60lbsx6/70lbsx6
Standing EZ Bar Curls: 30lbsx10/35lbsx8/45lbsx6/55lbsx6
Decline Skulls: 30lbsx10/40lbsx8/50lbsx6/60lbsx6
Chins: (as many as I could do in five sets) 10/7/5/5/5
Twisting Crunches: 2x15
Leg Raises: 2x15
Bent Knee Lying Side Leg Raises: 2x15

So, overall I felt the 5x5 was effective. It appears I'm a tad stronger. That's good news! Let's see what next week brings.

Now, time for a kitkat and a coke....
