Thursday....Cardio...5km run

Went for a run outside today because it is a gorgeous sunny day and relatively warm! Did my usual 5km and timed myself, based on amount of music I listened to on my Ipod, and it took me 27 min to do 3 miles. Not bad, not great, 9min/mile, 6.7mph. I also did several sprints during my run to try and work on my speed. I think my running form is better when I sprint than when I jog. I had to stop once to re-lace my shoe because it was so tight my foot went numb.

So a new goal is to work on speed. I'm going to buy a new running watch so I can interval my sprints better and consistently time my runs. It's a good time of year to work on this because it's a bit cooler.

Long term goal....going to do a mini triathlon next year! I better start swimming soon.
