Sunday...end of week 6!

Well I managed a "fitness class" yesterday. It's been at least 5 years-probably more, since I've done a fitness class, other than spinning. Well this was primarily a kick box type class with some pushups and ab work thrown in at the end. I quite enjoyed it and it certainly worked up a good sweat. If it wasn't for Amy's new routine, I would have never considered doing one of these classes...so thanks Amy, it was a refreshing change...and my butt still hurts today from all the kicking!

On a less positive note, I'm disappointed in my progress wt wise since this challenge started. Not disappointed in the challenge, more dissapointed in myself. I've struggled with the diet part for 3 years now and just can't seem to keep focussed enough with the diet. I'm not eating horrible, but just not keeping my calories in check. I still have a problem with allowing myself the few extra "treats" by justifying it with "I work out so much"...silly, but I can't seem to break myself of this habit. The only way I've lost any real wt in the past is to diet, exercise hasn't really ever effected my wt.(Don't get me wrong, it certainly changes my muscle tone, but I'm still carrying alot of fat around my abdomen and thighs!)I think in my case too, because I've been working out a lot, for so long, that my body adapts to it and just doesn't up my metabolism that much. So, if I'm going to actually loose wt, I'm going to have to take my diet far more seriously and strictly. I'm going to really focus on my diet this week and cut my calories further and see what happens. I will also go back to recording EVERYTHING I eat in my logs including water!

There will be a major change in 2 weeks!! So....bring on week 7!!!
