Something a little different today...
Today was wts day and I decided I needed a change. So I did a circuit routine...kind of made it up as I went along, but basically tried to do legs/back/chest/Abs/arms. So here's how it went, if I remember correctly:
5min warm up on treadmill
4 sets of 12pushups-feet on step/12lunges on step/12 dbl rows/abs on ball
2min on elipticle
3 sets of HS-flat bench 46lbs/leg lifts/cable row 60lb/leg ext 50lb (wanted to do lat pull downs instead of the rows again, but all 3 were being used)
SS EZ-bar curls (30lb) and tri kickbacks 15lb
4min on treadmill to cool down.
Enjoyed this change of routine. My arms are very tired now.
My hip is doing extremely well, I think it is finally beginning to heal. Can't imagine what it will be like to not have it constantly bugging me, but already I don't notice it as much when I'm walking-woohoo!
Diet is also going well. Weighed myself today and I'm down a couple of lbs, so that's good. I can tell I've lost weight just by how I look, so that's even better!!
Nutrition for today (tried a new recipe-it's yummy!)
-egg subs./salsa
-banana/oatmeal (I use quaker instant regular that comes in the little packs)
-vermicelli noodles/shrimp plus rice paper wraps with shredded carrot,ginger,fresh basil,chopped shrimp and a little of the vermicelli rice noodles with a dash of sesame oil and soya sauce. These were delicious and I'll make these again. They'd make a great healthy appetizer for a party. I used a thai sauce to dip them in--just a little, but next time I'll try something else because there was a lot of sugar in the sauce.
-oatmeal
-Shrimp or chicken for dinner with veggies.
