Question... how much does a change in elevation affect your workout?

I wonder this because I had some issues Wednesday...

Week Six/Day Two...

We were in Panorama, just a ways west of Banff for the last few days... was gonna have to adjust my workout schedule as I didn't think where were staying had any fitness facilities... well, low and behold if it didn't have a little gym... not the greatest stuff, but still enough to push around and get a somewhat decent workout...

Here's how it all played out...

Warm up... walk up the hill to the facility... whew... it was a trek...

B.Press: 10x67lbs/10x89lbs/10x122lbs
Leg Press: 10x135lbs/10x225lbs/10x291lbs

Superset
Tricep Dips: 10x0/10x22lbs/10x33lbs
Hammer Curls: 10x20lbs/8x20lbs/5x20lbs

Calf Raises: 20x20lbs/15x30lbs/15x30;bs
Lat Pulldowns: 10x60lbs/10x80lbs/10x90lbs
P. Bar Dips: 10/7/5
This is where things seemed to go wonky...
Military Press: 10x20lbs/10x30lbs...

I was intent on doing a third set with a 40lbs bb, but I started to feel light headed so I stopped and dropped that third set and skipped abs... it wasn't warm... I had breakfast before hand... but I think a thousand foot difference in elevation might have had something to do with it... I felt like garbage... was naseous, light headed, shaky and had to sit down as I made my way back to the apartment we were in.

Despite that... the jaunt was good... got in some horseback riding (been ages since I've been on a horse) and even tried some whitewater rafting. It was a '2' on a '1 to 5' scale... very exhilarating!

And today, after we got back, I must add one hour and 45 minutes of beach volleyball..
