Monday...beggining of FT 8 week challenge..upped the wts today
Did upper body at the gym today, and even though i was tired, I decided to up most of the wt (because Mutt told me to (; ) I really should bring a log book and start recording the wt, so that I can remember what i lifted last! Hopefully I have this right...
-5min on treadmill
-3x12 pushups
-asst pullups 10X60lb/8X50lb/6X40lb/4X40lb (this should amount pulling up about 100lb/110lb/120lb/120lb. 40 is the most I've done to date...my goal of 1 full chin up unnassisted just may be attainable before year end!
-HS flat bench 10X36/10X46/8X56/6X66 (again a new record for me!)--I'd like to switch to using the barbell for presses, but I'd need a spotter....any volunteers?--I may ask one of the trainers to help me out, just to get me started. I've done them before, but only with the trainer and I'm a bit paranoid of hurting my shoulder when I first push the bar from the rack and then replacing it again, the trainer alsway assisted me with that part.
-machine pec flies 12X45/12X50/12X60 (can up the wt on these)
-wide lat pull downs 10X60/10X70/8X80/5X90
--SS front raises/lat raises/bicept curls 3 sets of 10X10lbs..now these I need to stick to the 10lbs for now because I could feel my shoulder flaring a bit.
--finished with some back extensions 10Xbody/10X10lbs.
There...what d'ya think Mutt?? Thanks for the motivation to go heavy. We'll see how I feel tomorrow!! I'll do a leg day on Wednesday.
