Doing the worse things possible

The last time I worked out was NEARLY a week ago. Now half of me feels horrible about not working out, but I have some reasons behind it. Some could classify them as "excuses" and yeah maybe their right. But this is my blog and I feel its important to be honest NO MATTER WHAT others may say or think in return.

Saturday and Sunday aren't days I planned to work out, unless I REALLY felt I was ready to commit more than the already planned 5 days a week workout schedule. I don't want to say Saturday and Sunday are "free days" because once things do get hardcore I still plan to eat right 6 days a week. The 7th will be the "free to eat whatever" to keep me connected to reality. You know that place where you don't need to watch your every intake, you can order off a sucky menu and still feel like a human-being that's still on a health plan, a day where your wife feels your still the same man she married a few years ago. Yeah THAT reality.( A.D.D writer right herre'... I will bounce around all I want damnit! *Cough*) So Saturday and Sunday I didn't work out. I can't remember my food intake, but I bet it wasn't that great. Saturday I worked a full day on my feet so I know I burned my fair share of calories at least. And my cavs hurt for 2 whole days after Fridays leg work out!

Monday was Chinese New Year's. I had a late morning meal (after 9am) that included noodles, veggies, "fish" sauce, coconut milk and fake meat. (The fake meat was tofu flavored like shredded pork.) I consumed water and a small cup of coffee. Sometimes around 2pm I had a SBux blended coffee to stay awake for what I thought would be a long night. 6pm I had more of the same meal I had in the morning. (CNY the in law family doesn't consume actual animal products) Which isn't an issue because I don't eat meat anyways. Once the games started I had a few too many "nuts candy thangs" which we took home to finish off. So going back to the whole good and bad. I warned my workout bud that this week I was prob going to be a badddddddd boy. Chinese New Year's and the wife's birthday in the same week meant "the newly working out guy" was going to trip, skip, fall, crawl, bounce and pounce on everything in sight. I was right. To make it even better the week isn't over! OMG. I also mentioned that once this week was over, it was back on the bike, but with much more focus. Really. While its been fun being out of the daily grind from my job, I do miss the energy I was gaining from my workouts. A slow gain, but it was there. It's a real challenge working a different shift than my wife. And then I throw in this 5 days a week working out bit. She's a trooper. (I hope she'll join in the health plan, but I'm leaving that up to her. That topic i should write about in another entry.) Point is I work 5am to 1:30pm, Tuesday - Saturday. Wife works Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:45pm. Our time is limited even though its just the two of us and our 2 dogs. I hope to accomplish I few things this year.

...

I'll listed it out:
  • Find a proper balance in my life. (Sleep habits, stress level, time alone, time with others, etc.)
  • Document my exercise, diet, feelings/emotions, goals, etc. (As many places as I can. Blogs or paper journal.)
  • Learn what motivates change and stick with it.

That's a start! That's also the end of this crazy post.
