Day One

I thought it might be a good starting point to sit down and actually list the reasons that I want to lose weight in the first place.  

Some of the most immediate benefits that I can think of are improved self worth.  I love myself, but I would love myself a lot more if I felt that I was the best me that I could possibly be.  Currently, I do not feel this way.  

Improved sex life.  I want to be able to do and sustain a lot more sexual positions.  Also, I just want to feel as confident without clothes as I do with them.

Long term health is crucial.  Everyone in my family is overweight and I was raised with no real concept on what nutrition actually is.  My mom put butter on my pizza.  (Not really, but you get the idea.)   Being overweight increases your chance of dealing with several preventable devastating health conditions.

There are more, but these are the first 3 things that came to my mind so they are obviously the most important to me.  There are additional fringe benefits, but if I can achieve these threee things I will be happy.
