I dont think so. It sounds like you would be overtraining each muscle group and not making any gains at all. Muscle actually grows and repairs itself when at rest, not while working. A better split would be to work each major muscle group once a week, twice at best. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Is it possible to only lift one body part a week and still receive significant gains? For example, I start the first week lifting legs, quads on mon, wed, and fri, while hams on tues, thurs, and sat. The next week I start chest and back alternating them every other day and so forth until all body parts have been hit within a month and then start over. Is this a possibility for good gains?

i might have heard of something like taht before, i don't think any gains you would make would exactly be amazing.

You need to leave at least 24 hours between working the same muscle. For example, I exercise my abs 2 days/wk, my legs 2 days/wk, & lift weights the other 3 days. I also do cardio. But I leave at least a day between my ab workouts, etc. I would think that you should work each muscle group 2 or 3 times/week but not more than that. I think that would be more beneficial.
