I've been posting my meals and workouts for the past week (in pulling myself out of slump) and have been making really good progress. However I have a big challenge (for me anyway) coming up. I'm going on my regular 2 day trip out of town to see my b/f. I fly out to see him once or twice a month. (He lives in Green Bay, I live in Philadelphia)
Anyway, it seems every time I do this, when I get back late Tues. night the rest of my week is shot to heck. I only get about 2 hours of sleep that night b4 having to get up and go to work the next day. On top of that, I'll be working a split shift this Wed. as well, which really sucks wind.
Besides all that, my b/f is not much of health conscious person....to say the least. He's one of those blessed people where he can consume vast amounts of sugar and calories and never gain an ounce. He is also able to put on muscle just by blinking his eyelids, so he's got an unbelievable body (at least I think so:love:). So being there with him is a REAL challenge to continue to eat healthy. He's usually very good about supporting anything I do, so I can bring some healthy food with me and he doesn't give me a hard time about it or anything like that. He just makes it really easy to eat any of the junk lying around his house. We also go out to eat a few times while I'm there. Also needless to say, this is Green Bay and the beer flows like rain in this city!!!
Anyway, I'm taking some good stuff with me (whatever I can pack in a duffle bag and take on the plane with me), but I need to summon all the gods of willpower and health to watch over me these next few days while I'm gone and into the week when I get back and have to throw myself back into the grind.
Wish me luck, and if anyone has any words of wisdom or advise to help me, please let know!! I'll post back on Wed. or Thurs. (depending on my level of consciousness at the time) to let you know how things went.
