I'm currently coming back from an Achilles injury trying to get my vertical leap back to around the 35 range. Ive just gotten back to the weight room and I have a quick question. I squat every other day but I was wondering if I should be doing a 3x10 workout, or a 5x5 workout. This summer is my first time really squatting so I started out with 3x10 with low weight so I could get my balance and form down. I feel that I am ready to start intense training and I just need to know the most effective way to get that explosion and height back into my leap.

I would focus on heavier squatting after you're healthy. Doing <5 reps...sets of doubles or triples is good....5x3,8x2, etc..deadlifts is another lift that can help you a lot to improve vertical leap...

Learn to power clean or snatch as both will have big carryover to vertical jumping...

plyometrics can also help quite a bit...

Power cleans are an excellent workout.. Learn that. I agree with Menace, focus on heavier weights and less reps, a small rest period in between each.
